The KitchenAid Artisan 5 Qt Stand Mixer is the largest capacity tilt-head mixer available. This design allows easy access to both the beaters and the bowl.  Ingredients are mixed thoroughly with KitchenAid's 67-point planetary-mixing motion.  This allows the beaters to touch the bowl in 67 different spots so the bowl doesn't need to be rotated.

The KitchenAid Artisan 5 Qt Stand Mixer has a stainless steel bowl with a comfort handle and a pouring shield to keep messes contained.  This Kitchen Aid stand mixer has a stainless steel wisk, a nylon-coated dough hook, and a nylon-coated flat beater.  The stainless steel bowl and coated beaters are dishwasher safe for easier cleaning.

The KitchenAid Pro 500 Series 5 Quart Mixers are very similar to the KitchenAid Artisan 5 Qt Stand Mixer.  They both have 325 Watt motors, 5 quart bowls, and pouring shields.  The differences lie in the coated attachments and the tilt-head mechanism.
